Internships with specific news organizations
Most magazines and large news organizations have summer internships, paid or unpaid, and you can find out about them by contacting the organization directly. Below are some internships listed on the web. Internships are summer unless otherwise noted.

Newspapers
The best resource for finding the newspaper internships across the country is the American Society of Newspaper Editors (ASNE) website. Most paid summer internships have deadlines between Oct. 15 and Dec. 15.

Kaiser Media Fellowship in Health Reporting : This is a paid intensive 12-week summer internship for young journalists interested in specializing in health reporting. The deadline for print applicants is early December each year; the deadline for broadcast applicants is early January each year.
