Philip Flynn (B.A. Loyola College, Maryland; M.A. University of Pennsylvania; Ph.D. University of Maryland) is the author of Francis Jeffrey (University of Delaware Press, 1978) and Enlightened Scotland (Scottish Academic Press, 1992), as well as articles on British intellectual history published in TheDalhousie Review, Studies in English Literature, Enlightenment Essays and English Miscellany. He teaches courses in eighteenth century British literature and in Biblical and Greco-Roman literature. He has served as Acting Chair and Associate Chair of the Department, as a commentator on BBC radio, and as a participant in the Salzburg International Seminar on Art, Religion, and the Shaping of Culture. |
