Caesura Needs Your Stuff!

We are not currently accepting student submissions. Please check back in the Fall of 2005 for submission deadlines for the 2005-2006 edition.

Creative Writing

The Caesura accepts poetry, short fiction, and creative non-fiction from UD students. No more than five works by one student will be accepted at one time. Submissions containing more than five works will not be considered for submission. All submissions must be accompanied by titles for each work and the author's full name and contact information. Writing submissions may be sent to the Caesura electronically at caesura@odin.english.udel.edu. The submissions must be in the body of the email message and attached as a Word document (.doc). Writing submissions in hardcopy may also be sent to the address above.

Art

The Caesura accepts photography and original artwork form UD students. All art must be submitted in hardcopy or on a CD. Do not send artwork to the Caesura email. When submitting digital pictures, label all files and submit no more than ten pictures per CD at one time. CDs containing more than ten pictures by one student will not be considered for submission. Save digital pictures at the highest resolution possible. If prints of pictures are submitted, they must be 8x10. All submissions must be accompanied by titles for each work and the artist's full name and contact information. Please send all hardcopies and CDs to the address above.

Judging and Awards

All submissions are discussed anonymously by the Caesura staff. If your work is selected to be published, you will be notified by email. You must respond promptly with contributor information that will be published in the magazine along with your work. Published creative writing submissions are eligible for prizes, which will be awarded by Philip Levine on May 3, 2005.
