We are in a period of transition to a new English curriculum. The new curriculum features new first and second year foundation courses and more freedom of electives in junior and senior years. Within concentrations, requirements have also changed.

It is important to pay attention to whether you are fulfilling the requirements of the old curriculum or the new. Students who entered before F07 have a choice of continuing in the old curriculum or moving to the new one.

Under the new curriclum, all English majors choose a concentration:
Literary studies
Drama
Ethnic and cultural studies
Film
Professional writing
Creative Writing
Major in English Education
Major in TESL with MA (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
