Copyright for all articles published in the Business Communicarion Quarterly dated 1996 and later is vested in the Association for Business Communication.

Copyright for all articles published in the Business Communication Quarterly prior to 1996 and in the Bulletin (ISSN 8756-1972 through Volume 57) is held by individual authors and permission to photocopy must be secured directly from the authors.


Permission to Photocopy

Articles in the Business Communication Quarterly dated 1996 and later may be photocopied freely for educational (noncommercial) purposes under the following conditions:

Use of the photocopies must be for educational purposes exclusively, not for commercial publication or for other commercial purposes of any type.

Citation of the source of the publication must be provided in full on the first page of each copied article as follows: the authors, date, article title, journal, volume, number, and inclusive pages. In addition, the following statement should appear on the first page: "Reprinted with the permission of the Association for Business Communication."

Permission to photocopy is restricted as follows:

Reproduction in whole or in part for commercial purposes must be approved by the ABC Executive Director and royalties must be paid to the Association.

Photocopying of articles and chapters from ABC publications from 1995 and earlier is not covered. Individual authors hold the copyright to all materials published by ABC before 1996, and permission to photocopy must be secured directly from the authors.

The Business Communication Quarterly, ISSN 1080-5699 (formerly the Bulletin of the Association for Business Communication, ISSN 8756-1972), is published four times each year (March June, September, and December) by the Association for Business Communication. Regular ABC membership is $60 annually; membership for full–time students is $20. Membership includes subscriptions to the Business Communication Quarterly and The Journal of Business Communication. The library subscription rate for the Quarterly is $60.
