(NA), including the Contents, the introductory sections (e.g.,
"The Middle Ages," 1-22), sample texts, with footnotes and marginal notes,
"Religions in England" (2942-43), "Poetic Forms and Literary Terminology"
(2944-60), "The Universe According to Ptolemy" (2960-61), "A London Playhouse"
(2962), the Index, and the maps of England and London on the end-flaps
(if your edition has these).
For Friday Read: "The Middle Ages to ca. 1485": NA,
1 - 9. Focus on Anglo-Saxon history and the Norman Conquest of 1066. Also
study the "Texts and Contexts" chart on pages 21-22. Quiz on that material
on Friday. Also read: From Bede, An Ecclesiastical History .
