Scholar In The Library Into the Archives: Projects Inspired by the Langston Hughes Ephemera Collection

Image Picker for Section 0

Virtual Event - December 10, 2020 from 2-3pm

Dr. Laura Helton

Join Professor Laura E. Helton and her students in the capstone seminar in literary studies, “Into the Archives,” to learn about the research projects they’ve been working on throughout the semester.

The students created individual projects inspired by the Library’s digitized Langston Hughes Ephemera Collection, which includes advertisements, programs and other printed material related to the literary career and travels of the poet, novelist and playwright Langston Hughes.

Helton is an assistant professor in the Department of English and the Department of History. In 2018, with a grant from the Interdisciplinary Humanities Research Center, she worked with librarians Curtis Small and Theresa Hessey to develop the “Into the Archives” seminar to launch undergraduate research.

Registration is required. Once registered, you will receive an email with details on how to join the event via Zoom. Please register at:
