The University of Delaware Graduate Admissions Application is available via the SLATE application portal. All application materials (the application form, the $75 application fee, official copies of GRE scores, transcripts from other institutions, a writing sample, a statement of objectives and interests, and three letters of recommendation) must be submitted online.
Students from historically underrepresented groups in the humanities (including ex-military, first generation college, etc.) may be eligible for an application fee waiver.
Begin the application process by visiting the How to Apply webpage of the Office of Graduate & Professional Education. To ensure that all your application materials are received, consider using our Graduate Application Checklist as the deadline approaches.
The system will not submit an application for consideration until all requisite documents and information have been uploaded. It is the prospective student's responsibility to make sure that the application is complete by January 1 (for those seeking admission with full funding). Application for admission without full funbding should be received by January 31. Students are admitted into the English graduate program for the fall semester only.
Applicants who seek full funding will typically be notified of the English Graduate Committee's decision sometime in February. Students must accept the offer of admission no later than April 15.
General questions about the application process may be sent to Ann Marie Green, Administrative Assistant IV at firstname.lastname@example.org .
