Student poets to read their work at free public event

Students from this semester's Advanced Poetry Writing Workshop will read from their work on Friday, May 16.

Students from the Advanced Poetry Writing Workshop, taught by Jeanne Murray Walker, professor of English, will give a poetry reading at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 16, in the University of Delaware Barnes and Noble bookstore.

Reading will be Steve Bankert, Christine Barba, Andrew Graney, Tyler Kline, Elliot Malta, Josh Mason, Leah Rizzo, Lindsay Saienni, Marta Shakhazizian, Matt Swain, Jae Yoo, and Julie Zuech.

The event is free and open to the public.

The poems are described as funny, surprising and moving. Students invite the community to "come, sip a latte and enjoy a break from end-of-semester madness."
