Brett Seekford, Teaching Assistant

Brett Seekford is a first-year doctoral student at the University of Delaware, having previously earned a B.A. from James Madison University in English, summa cum laude, with minors in Women's Studies and Africana Studies. Brett's area of critical specialty is African-American literature, specifically the contributions of non-canonical black feminist writers to efforts for political and social change. In his public humanities work, he has helped design a public exhibit commemorating the contributions of the African-American community in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
