Biography
​Prior to enrollment as a PhD student at the University of Delaware, she taught composition courses and early college writing for CUNY (Brooklyn College and City College of Technology). Her academic interests include (and combine) early/nineteenth-century American literature, the Gothic, fan theory/popular culture, and adaptation. Her master's thesis, titled "Hollywood's Depiction of Scarlett O'Hara: Where are the Children?" centered on David Selznick's manipulation of Southern Womanhood in the film adaptation of Gone with the Wind.
