Biography
Eleanor “Ellie” Carver graduated from William & Mary with a Bachelor of Arts in 2019, double-majoring in English and Chinese Language and Culture. Ellie earned a Master’s of Education in Curriculum & Instruction in Secondary (6-12) English in 2020 from William & Mary’s School of Education. Post-graduation, Ellie worked as a Middle School English & Writing teacher at a school for twice-exceptional students in Alexandria, VA. While Ellie’s first language is English, she is proficient in both Chinese and Japanese, and she plans to use her language skills in both in her research.
Ellie’s academic interests include early modern and renaissance literature, East Asian studies, game studies, creative writing, digital humanities, speculative fiction, and gender and sexuality studies.
