Biography
Frank Hillson enjoys teaching first-year writing and American Literature and has done so at a variety of institutions of higher learning: the United States Air Force Academy, Baylor University, and Goldey-Beacom College, to name a few. Research areas and interests are the captivity narrative, and he has presented several papers on Mary Rowlandson's text and on the captivity narrative genre per se to the Society of Early Americanists, the College English Association, and to the International James Fenimore Cooper Conference and Seminar, to name a few. His secondary academic interest is the Literature of War: American Civil War through the Vietnam War.
