
Biography
Rebecca Worley is a member of the Professional Writing faculty and Director of their internship program. Co-author of the textbook Managing Business Communications: An Applied Process Approach (Prentice-Hall), she is currently doing research for a book on the Design of Online Information and has received a grant from the Center for Teaching Effectiveness in support of this research.
The author of several articles on business and technical communication, as well as the history of business, she is a member of the editorial review board for Business Communication Quarterly and co-editor of that journal's "Focus on Teaching" column. A senior member of the Society for Technical Communication, she has recently completed a year as President of the Philadelphia chapter. With many years of experience as a consultant to business and industry, she has worked with several Fortune 500 companies, as well as departments within the U.S. government. In addition to business and technical communication, her research interests focus on information technology, screen design, and visual communication.
