Biography
Darby Witek earned her Master’s in English literature from
Auburn University in 2019. Her research interests center around expressions of
subjectivity and selfhood in Black literature, specifically in the ways
history, memory, space, and language empower and complicate narrative forms.
Additionally, Darby has dedicated interests in public humanities, digital
humanities, and teaching at the primary, secondary, and collegiate levels.
Darby plans to continue her interdisciplinary studies as an African American
Public Humanities Initiative (AAPHI) Fellow at the University of Delaware.
