The University of Delaware Department of English will hold a grand opening for its new Advising and Career Center at 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, in Room 119 Memorial Hall. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is open to the UD community.
Established to support new Department of English requirements that encourage majors and minors to design their own individualized course of study, the center will focus on current and prospective English majors and minors.
The center also will allow career path collaboration among current and prospective English and English education majors and English and writing minors. It aims to provide students with the resources for mapping out a variety of career paths in business, government, science, the arts, education, multimedia production and more.
