Biography

​Phil Freedman is news director of DelawareOnline.com and The News Journal, and regional editor for investigations and enterprise for Gannett newspapers in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. He has served in various other roles for the company, including city editor at The News Journal and executive editor of The Reporter in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. In his current position at DelawareOnline, he has led the revitalization of the newspaper by focusing on growing the digital subscriber base. His strategies have been adopted by more than 300 Gannett papers.
