Biography
Scott Sturgis has been editing,
designing, and writing for daily newspapers since 1989. He currently works
full-time as a news editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer, a position he's had
since 2002.
Sturgis has also
been writing the Driver’s Seat column since January 2011, and it’s
appeared regularly in The Philadelphia Inquirer for most of that time, and in
the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for many years as well. He's also covered the
automotive industry for The New York Times and The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer.
Sturgis taught English
composition and literature for seven years at Lincoln University of
Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State University in 1991 with a bachelor
of arts in journalism and a psychology minor. He's a married father of four,
who likes to work around the house and garden in his spare time, and has a
houseful of dogs and cats.
